Welcome

We are excited to bring a new food experience to Ballycastle. Our home grown Céide Ladle Catering business has been preparing exceptional food for the people of Mayo since 2019.

Now, we want to share that experience and provide something fast and always delicious for locals, tourists and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Welcome to the Food Shack!

Our food is prepared daily using fresh ingredients locally sourced and seasonal produce infused with creativity and flair.

We try all the recipes ourselves and are committed to bringing only the best to the market. Our mission is to provide sustainable food that tastes great, and is affordable and convenient.

Thanks to our loyal customers, our opening summer season was a blistering success. We are delighted to be opening again for 2022. We’ve kept a few favourites and added some exciting new additions.

about us

When Emma and Kellie met 17 years ago, they quickly recognised a fellow foodie and discovered they had a dream in common – to one day run their own restaurant.

They believe great food isn’t complicated. It’s about using the freshest of seasonal ingredients and a sprinkling of creative flair to produce delicious, contemporary dishes that showcase natural flavours and the best of Irish food.

Céide Ladle Catering is proud to offer first-class food made from scratch with care, from the best of seasonal ingredients – every detail considered.

We have built strong relationships with our suppliers to source the best quality, Irish ingredients, organically sourced where possible. And it’s personal – Emma’s farmer husband is renowned for the quality lamb he supplies to restaurants and Kellie’s amour is a fisherman. Mayo is home to a vibrant and exciting food producers’ network who are passionately proud of what they do and what they produce and we are equally proud to support these great businesses.
